Go toward the light!

I took this while riding the Route of the Hiawatha--literally while pedaling--on a bicycle pulling a tag-along with a ten-year-old behind me. I'm not sure which tunnel this is, though I'm pretty sure it isn't the first one, which is a mile long.

The Route of the Hiawatha was built in the early 1900s as part of the Milwaukee Railroad, winding through Idaho and Montana as part of the line between Chicago and the Pacific Northwest. The railroad was abandoned in the 1980s.
This portion has since been turned into a 15 mile bicycle trail that goes through ten tunnels and crosses seven trestles that bridge some steep valleys.

It is an amazing ride, though if you go I recommend taking your own bike. The rentals are well used.
