Once in a lifetime shot!! Kind of creepy, but love it!
What team does he play for - Sleepy Hollow?
That's either a stunning pivotal moment or some of the best post processing I've ever seen...
Epic color harmonies... fabulous acuity... and only a faint trace of motion blur at the very end of the bat...
Amazing what 11 full-resolution fps on the D4 can catch especially at 1/3200!
btw, at ISO 720 and 1/3200 I believe you could have rocked this at 1/8000 and your D4 wouldn't even be breathing hard... It shoots very clean at ISO 6400!
Once again masterful sports reportage Jules...
Always a joy learning from your stellar captures...

No photoshop just a lucky shot. Be well Thomas.

Jules you have an alarmingly high level of consistently latent within your sports renderings...
Which is undeniably the hallmark of a gifted photographer.
There is absolutely no way I could ever reach your level of excellence in Sports Photography...
Especially in your forte, the great American sport: Baseball... You have lived this sport and are intimately familiar with all the nuances within it... And your stellar captures reveal same...
Actually I'm so far beyond you that I'm hesitant to even post in this forum anymore...
Again many thanks for sharing Jules

Don't you dare stop posting your fine soccer work here.
I have been around sports my entire life. I love sports and photographing the same.
When I was 15 yrs. old or so I had the pleasure of being an Angel bat boy I believe back in l962-63 we played at Chavez Ravine (Dodger Stadium). What a thrilling summer it was. My friend who we both played on our high school team asked me if I wanted the job. Without hesitation 2 hours later I was at the ballpark. His mom brought us, the other bat boy was sick. In the photo I am on the left. Scotty is the real bat boy.
Be well and always post my friend. PS This shot was originally a black and white. I had it colorized. Lost the rest of the pics.
Oh my goodness! that image is so incredible! Virtually priceless... Fabulous job with the colorization...
I totally understand why I can see the true spirit of this sport through your epic captures Jules...
btw, my soccer imagery is only passable at best...
The game so too complex... And it was not an option when I was in school....
I simply show up and try my best... albeit things just move way too fast... lol
Thanks for sharing Jules...
