This was an exercise that was sent, by request, to me by one of the authors of the photo retouching and restoration book mentioned earlier. It was just a fun something to do.

Excellent, Bob! There has got be a story behind this...
Thanks, srt101fan. The only story I know is that the individual, from whom I received the original, did a restoration but the client didn't like the work. That was that.
So, it's been an example and worked on by several people, over the years. So, I have no idea as to who anyone in the photograph is/was. To me, it was just an exercise to keep my skills in practice.

Thank you, Curmudgeon. It was similar to putting a jigsaw puzzle together.

Bob, I have NEVER seen anyone better than you at restoration. You really could teach a class on it.
Thank you very much, Brent. I really appreciate the kind comments. Each restoration is different. The tools used are pretty much the same. It's mostly the ability to "see" the final photograph and visualize what steps are needed to get there. It's quite different than just taking a photograph where it's pretty simple, composition, camera settings, and what is the final going to look like. It can get pretty involved.

If you did this restoration for me, I would be very pleased with the results.
