Having seen the picture posted on the St. Lawrence River, I thought I'd pop this one up of the boats leaving Falmouth Harbour (Cornwall UK) a couple of years ago - the light wasn't brilliant, but I hope the image captures the spirit of the day with a following flotilla of anything that would float!

I was so impressed with this shot that I have taken the liberty of doing a little work on it to lift the sky in landscape and then crop to portrait to show more detail of the tall ship.

Well done for such an interesting capture.

Wow! that's stunning - thank you - would I be able to down load that to the my printer? - it would make a great card for any occasion. Being a raw recruit and by that I mean a beginner - can you explain what you did to the sky? It's always refreshing to see an image through someone else's eyes - I'll have to go back and maybe enlarge and crop a couple of others - but that sadly is about the extent of editing skills lol!

I was a teenager when the tall ships from around the world sailed into NYC harbors in celebration of our nation's bicentennial. I remember boarding several of the spit-shined-and-polished vessels and being totally amazed! Your beautiful photo whisked me back to that day. Thank you!
