On Mother's Day we had 5 Mothers over to celebrate ranging in age from 40 to 95! The oldest, Abuela, made this Flan for dessert. She was born in Spain, moved to Cuba, and fled with her family two years after Castro took over. She says that those who want socialism/communism should try living in a country that has that for awhile!

Haven't had Flan since Mom passed, except once in a restaurant. I know how to make it, just rarely have dessert and never think of it. Thanks for the reminder!
