In 2009 I went to help my daughter move back to California from Upstate New York. These are a few pictures from before we started the trip (during which we took many more – with some to follow). All were with my then Panasonic DMC-FZ18.

I used to live & travel upstate NY - never heard of Baguio City outside of the Philippines. Did i miss a joke, or just never run across it?

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California - attended UCSB; graduated in 1950. Lived and worked in the Los Angeles area for years, then Palm Springs, and on to Phoenix, Arizona. Just over 5 years ago I made the final move - to the Philippines. Baguio City was the only place in which I could live, because of the high temperature and humidity everywhere else. This is not true for all the area here, but in my apartment the temperature never varies more than 2 degrees F from 74 - with no heating or cooling!!! Baguio is at an elevation of about 5,000 feet, and beautifully green year around. I intend to post pictures of some of the Philippines before long.

The upside down bowl in the last two is called “The Egg” a large multi-storied exhibition hall.
