Okay, if possible, I would love to know if anyone, here at UHH, can identify this camera. Sorry about the very limited photo!

The “Professional Photographer” claims that it cost her $9k and her lens was $5k! I am disputing this with my girlfriend!

Thanks in advance!

If you doubt that the camera costs $9k, I am on your side of the argument.
I have no idea what camera it might be, and will follow the thread hoping to find out.

Not a <current> high end Nikon or Canon.
The FWD-BACK or LEFT-RIGHT buttons are odd.

Question is, what is it worth for you to be right? Ya gotta know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em...

Medium format digital cameras will run you $9k or higher, just google the 102MP FUJIFILM GFX 100. The image above seems to be another model, but is still likely to be a medium format camera. It would seem your GF is going to be the winner in this silly argument.

I immediately recognized its layout and buttons as a Canon. It is the back of a Canon R. Here is an image of a Canon R that I cropped similarly to the image you posted. I also am posting the entire rear panel I cropped it from. The Canon R is currently selling for $1800 on Adorama. The camera you posted looks grey in color, the image I attached is also grey but a bit darker. I believe the grey color of your image, and the one I posted is just a result of lighting and exposure as the actual camera is much darker and closer to black.

I believe this is a Canon R Mirrorless body. See my post with images just above this one.

Thanks, that didn't show up on my search.
Gotta love search engines......
Was looking for over $2k.

Why would anyone exaggerate the value of their camera and lens?

It was easy to identify for me because I recognized the M-Fn bar (multi function bar) next to the viewfinder. I watched several video reviews of the Canon R camera when it was first released.

All artists are willing to suffer for their work, but why make it worse with a cheap camera?

I was surprised you didn't recognize this body. You always seem to be on top of all things Canon.
