Could anyone recommend a Windows software package that would enable me to capture and record videos off of the internet and store the recording to a file? Please make it one that does not require an extensive learning curve. Thank you in advance.

Not anymore.
The only one I knew of was shut down last year because of copyright litigation.

You can download GeForce Experience to record and capture videos. However, I think you must have an NVIDIA card installed. You can find the download here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/

"Alt z" will bring up the program once it's installed.

Try Parallels Toolbox. Available for both Mac & Windows. Works for me on my Mac. Will auto download some videos. It has options to capture a window or a selected area of the monitor.

That's what I use but it seems to only work with YouTube videos.

Windows 10 already has a built in video capture - check out X Box game bar on the menu near the bottom, John.
