The first image is a deep crop on a 24mp sensor/400mm image. The second image is a additional crop of the first image enlarged (2X) with Gigapixel. In my opinion very little difference between them.

Very impressive. What would be of even greater interest than a greater crop with your 400 would be a sample photo taken with a shorter lens blown up to the same proportion displayed side by side as these are.

I agree, Joe. The difference is not all that much. However, I do see some improvement with Gigapixel.
