Great image Brent regardless of whatever slight of hand you used (or not) to pull it together. I suspect that a lot more work went into getting to the right place at the right time than went into producing the actual image. The most important part is the final image even though seeing it in your mind's eye then pulling it all together is the fun part. Good show, good job

Haven't you found that being in the right place at the right time really makes a HUGE difference? Here is a photo of Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park captured closing in on the golden hour with nice back lighting on the figure. That's upper and lower Yosemite falls in the shadows. This looks best in download mode.

That is an amazing photograph! Very dramatic and yet very composed with beautiful lighting.

Thank you Paul. I was fortunate to be there at the right time. I didn't plan on the lighting being like it was.

If you ever see a pic of me crawling out there, someone will be standing behind me with a gun!

Just a small correction: Although this scene DOES look absolutely great in download, I'm pretty sure that it looked "best" "Live and in person." Great shot, Brent. I've seen lots of shots from the other side but, I believe, this is the first I've seen from this perspective.

You are right about being there in person is the best. It's a rare time when the photo is actually better looking than the real thing, but it has happened on a couple occasions to me. It's bizzare when I could hold my camera up to the real thing and the colors and intensity are actually better looking than real life!

Wow, not me, striking photo Brent..

Mike, with all the landscape photos you take, I'm surprised you are responding like this!
I used to be a technical rock climber so this photo looks very stable and not dangerous at all to me!

Another great photograph Brent. Well done. While I love the photo I am one of those who is afraid of heights. I look at the photo and wonder what kind of person would do something like that. I do know it is not me.

Dennis

Dennis, it seems like there are many people here on the UHH that agree with you! Thanks for the compliment on the photo!
