Works for me for several years. Wife is not computer literate at all and I had to do something. An Apple tech told me (off the record)this process and I've used it since, Good Luck!

Thanks, Floyd. That worked just fine. What I found odd was ignoring Apple's request to enter a new password. I just hit Return, and it went to the next screen. It's nice being able to start the machine without entering a password.
