Long billed curlew

I had never seen a long billed curlew before until we found a small group in Western Colorado. They blended into the grass making it challenging to get a clear image.

Great photo! I’m considering the R6 to replace my T2i someday. I’d love to see the full image to peek at the resolution. I think its in-body stabilization will help me more with my non-stabilized Tokina EF 400mm lens than the higher resolution of the RP.

Great capture. And well composed! I hope that when I see my first LBC that I’ll be as prepared and able as were you!
