This farm dates back to the early 20th Century. I don't know who put the post in the ground. The cows
it was meant to keep in check are long gone. This short string of wire tells a lot when you really take
the time to look at it.

I was raised on a ranch, my dad had a large collection of barbed wire, hundreds of different types.
Pixelmaster, a very compelling capture. The slight shadows on the wood create a mood. The staple on the right side of the post is to keep the wire at the proper height. The twists of the short pieces tell me it was repaired at least twice. Great photo.
