I've heard them many times. Caught one or two as tiny specs in the sky. Now, how to actually get a nice photo of this exceptional plane? Buy a model of it (diecast), shoot that in a simple background, extract the plane from the background, blend it with a sky image (also shot) and there you have it!

Um, this is a little thing that sometimes bothers someone who has seen too many things. When a jet "rips" through a cloud, there are usual disruptions of the pierced cloud at the tips of the wing. Whorls, to be descriptive. These are not contrails.

Great work, though.

One question, where did you get the pilot, who was small enough to fit the model?

Good point on the whirls or rips. Can we just say, the lighting blew them out? Ha ha.

Pilot included in the diecast model. You are so observant.

User I.D. and pixelmaven: What User I.D. said was correct, he just added an extra "a" to the beginning of the word. Elevons are aircraft control surfaces combining the effect of ailerons and elevators. Usually fitted to tailless or delta wing aircraft.

Good to know. Always something to learn! Much appreciated.
