Another glorious day. Decided it would be easier to write the homily for tomorrow and the conference for Tuesday if I went out with the camera for an hour. Worked like a charm. All set now.

All shots taken with the Zuiko 70-300 f/4-5.6 from when I was using Olympus DSLR. A bit slow and balky but a little lovin' helps. When I first switched to EM 1 mk ii used the DSLR lenses with adapter before purchasing the pro lenses for the MMF. Very happy with Olympus.

Glad it worked for you.

Being a retired teacher I am good at thinking of things for other people to do.

Idea for a homily/sermon "Focus on Living a Good and Righteous Life"

No need to do an exorcism, I will show myself out.

My family does things like that, Grandpa Charney was Orthodox Catholic, Grandma was Roman Catholic and my mother and her siblings were raised Roman Catholic. In their mid-80's Grandpa decided walking 4 blocks to the new Roman Catholic Church that Grandma just loved was easier than 12 blocks to the Orthodox Church so he started attending with Grandma. After a couple of months a new young priest from Ireland was being introduced to everyone by an older priest as they left after mass. When he realized Grandpa was Orthodox he was shocked and started to tell Grandpa his church was the other one. Grandpa in his still heavy Austro-Hungarian German accent and life long coal miner's blunt attitude replied: "Young man is this a house of God? - Yes sir. - Is the other church a house of God? - Yes sir. - Are we all children of God? - Yes sir. - I am an old man and the walk to this house of my Father is easier than the walk to his other house and I am with my wife and children. If he doesn't like me doing this in just a few years he will tell me himself when I go to Heaven. - Yes sir. Have a nice day and I will see you next Sunday." The story goes that Grandma and the older Priest almost strangled themselves holding in the laughter.
That was in the early 70's and my cousins in PA are still telling the story.

Great story. I am from NE PA and grew up in a town of Poles, Slovaks, Lithuanians, and Ukrainians. The Ukrainian Catholic Church was three house from my parents. Many the Sundays that my brother and I went there rather than trudge the whole five blocks to the "Polish" Church. This was may very well find its way into a homily. Thanks.

Thanks. It is beyond beautiful up here at the moment I was stalled in preparing a conference for tomorrow. Went out with camera, shot for about an hour, and then finished up. Now putting on the finishing touches.

I grew up in Plymouth near Wilkes-Barre (not the one near Philly), way east of Clearfield.
