Does anyone know what kind of berries these are?
I believe they were on a type of ground cover plant in Southern Ontario on the top of a cliff overlooking a lake.
The picture is from slide, taken maybe September of 1976.
If memory serves me, they might be about 1/4 or 3/8" in diameter.
Mistletoe? That's what the leaf kind of looks like. Not exactly a ground cover though.

I think it was on a little spread out bush, no taller than a foot or two at the most?

You wouldn't have a shot of the whole plant, or perhaps a leaf?
Hopefully someone who lives around there can ID it.

Unfortunately, no other images. I think it had small elongated pear-shaped leaves (tear-drop?).
I think at the time I was more interested in the berries than the whole plant, and film was at a premium for me at that time.
That is a berry nice photo...Further the Deponent sayeth nothing!
Thanks Flyboy and Angler.
Closest thing so far I've been able to find is Bearberry.....
The leaf shape looks the same.
Stems similar.
