My wife and I hiked Wire Pass on April 2. The trailhead to Wire Pass is easily reachable by any vehicle except maybe a Ferrari when the road is dry. The trail to The Wave branches off it after just a little way. Many people use the Wire Pass route to get to the better part of Buckskin Gulch.

Great Wire Pass images. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful shots. That is quite an expedition - not for the weak or weary!

Thank you for this one too, joecichjr.
Slot canyons are amazing, but can be quite dangerous due to flash floods.
In 1997 twelve people were swept away by a flash flood in Antelope Canyon caused by a rainstorm 15 miles away...not a drop of rain actually fell in the canyon. 11 of the 12 died, the only survivor was the tour guide. 8 of the 11 who perished were tourists from France.
Over the past 20 years 68 people perished in flash floods in Arizona, including 3 and 7 year old girls at another slot canyon.
After the Antelope Canyon disaster measures were put in place such as handholds and other things for hikers to grab.

The first one I heard of was one in 1961.
Beautiful image and perspective. The texture on the rock formations are very nice
