The white flowers open only at night and last about 30 hours, the yellow flowers open about 10 am and last about 8 hours.

Cacti are amazing plants

I once bought a small cactus with pretty yellow flowers, the flowers stayed blooming for a few days until I realized they were artificial flowers and were glued onto the cactus, very disappointing.

I was at a University in southern Brazil 15+ years ago and someone there mentioned the large
cactus never bloomed, they were night blooming Cereus, mine has 6" wide flowers, some have 12" , fertilized by bats I believe. Flowers last a little past sunrise at most for me.

Do the flowers drop off after one bloom, or reopen for a few times?

No do not drop off. They just wilt away and eventually the stem will just fall off
