I make no claims to any sort of astrophotography, nor do I have any such equipment. That said, the full moon was pretty, so I took a shot at it, so to speak, with my old Canon SX 60. I’ve never seen it with quite that shade of yellow.
Not in focus but still nice; it was pink from my view in Fla. but the haze was to bad to shoot it.
It’s not called the pink moon because it’s pink. It actually usually appears more orange when it first rises and is close to the horizon and white as it rises higher in the sky. It’s called the “pink” moon after the flowering herb pink moss that is one of the signs of spring.
