I've often thought that if there were a cataclysmic event that people would rush to their death to see it. And, yes, I would be one of the first in the line.
One of the (many) things I like about Iceland - It's not a nanny state. You can walk right up to the edge of the cliffs, hang your feet over a waterfall.
