It is mating season at the Viera Wetlands, and there is a lot of activity with all of the fauna.
It pays to be ready.....
I was not ready to do a BIF photo when the roseate spoonbill took off. I swung the camera up and the initial result had motion blur and a not-fast enough shutter speed. It WOULD have been an interesting BIF photo had it been good - a spoonbill flying past two basking alligators.
Looking about 40 yards up the road, I saw a brown object on the berm. At first I thought it was a turtle. I wasn't going to shoot it from where I was - I figured it would still be there when I got closer. Then up popped a head, and it started loping up the berm and crossing the road, and I realized it was an otter - AND - it was being chased by an alligator, which ran up the bank, across the road, and down into the water on the left side of the road! By the time I brought up my telephoto lens all I got of the otter was a brown blur! Oh well. It is often an exciting place to walk, whether or not all the photos are good!

Possibly you weren't a boycott?

I thought the boycott motto was “don’t do anything” 😜🤪
If you have PSE 14 or newer, there is a deblurring tool I've used on rare occasions. Might be worth a try on #1. They may still have a free trial on the latest version.
You could always post it in Facebook’s Crap Wildlife Photography group. The comments that go with that group are hilarious. It may not be crappy enough though...🤣

You mean those guys who wear Skilts instead of pants have a motto?
Good try Steve and still worth the effort. Those basking gators are frequently playing possum hoping some tasty morsel will come too close.

I hear ya! I'm never ready and when I'm ready I'm still not ready. Good photos.
