It only matters that you liked them. Once, when my son was very young, he went and picked flowers for Mother's Day. Weed flowers really, but they are the ones that harbor chiggers the worst here. Had to keep my cool and tell him how beautiful the flowers were and thanked him for picking them for me, etc etc...all the while hurrying him to the bathtub for a good scrubbing before he was covered with tiny red dots!!! You should give your son a great big hug!!!

Yours look much prettier and safer, but you ought to remove the date from your photos...and on the second one...the shadow at the bottom of the blossom looks like a problem I have when I try to use flash. The camera body gets in the way of the flash and you don't quite get the photo your mind saw. Try using a piece of foam or even a sheet of paper like a hood across the top of the camera to aim the flash more in the direction you want it to go. Or place the flowers in more natural light.

And sometimes, the sharpness and colors that are on our computers get a little lost in translation after the photo is posted. Don't worry, it happens to us all.

There should be a rule that kids can't move more than an hour away from their parents. How sweet of him to send you flowers they are beautiful.

Nice capture of the flowers but please turn your date, time stamp off. Most all cameras have date, time, ISO, F-stop, and shutter speed in the meta data. You camera data is below. David in Florida.

Oh, how I agree, Country's Mama! Our son who is in the service in in VA, only 6 miles for NC. It takes us forever to get there ('cause I love going over the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel/Bridge, and 'cause we get lost!). I miss him!

Nice photos. If they're not absolutely in every way perfect photographs, a shadow here or a date stamp there, does that diminish the flowers in your mind's eye? Of course not. Just jogs a happy memory long after the real flowers have gone.

Keep posting!
