I was adopted last Wed.
I came home last Wed. morning and found this guy asleep on an old blanket in my carport, I opened the back door and he went right in the house and checked everything out, then followed me in and out as I unloaded the groceries. He was clean, no ticks or fleas, he is neutered fairly well mannered but needs work.
I checked FB and CL for lost dogs, Saturday I took him to the vet and had him checked out (no chip) , and found why he was probably dumped, He has heart worms, due to the cost of the treatment and the possibility it could kill him I decided not to have him treated, the reason he could live a comfortable life as is, My first wife adopted a dog with heart worms that the owner was getting ready to have her put down Nikita lived another 9 years!!
A plus is he don't mind the camera, but it is hard getting a close-up because he wants to check the camera out. He also love to go for a ride.
Meet Murphy!!!
Excellent photos and pooch! Attractive and charming! Congrats on your new buddy!
I don’t understand people who can’t take the bad with the good. Do hope Murphy has a long and loving life with you.
Beautiful dog. Is he a foxhound? Thank you for taking him in.

Excellent set Frank, Murphy looks so happy in the last shot!
Good looking dog. There are a number of reasons why he could have shown up at your house so don't naturally assume he was dumped. My dad went coon hunting with a dog that got lost and didn't show up for many days. We thought he was gone forever.
