Reunion
A group of friends, all aged 40, discussed where they should meet for a reunion lunch. Finally, it was agreed that they would meet at LeManoir in Pointe Claire because the waitresses were cute and wore miniskirts.
10 years later, at age 50, the friends once again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was decided that they would meet at LeManoir in Point Claire because of the food and service was good and the beer selection was excellent.
10 years later, at age 60, the friends again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at LeManoir in Point Claire because there was plenty of parking, they could dine in peace and quiet, and it was good value for the money.
10 years later, at age 70, the friends again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at LeManoir in Point Claire because the restaurant was wheelchair accessible and had a toilet for the disabled.
10 years later, at age 80, the friends again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed they would meet at LeManoir in Point Claire because they had never been there before.
That was depressing ......

Proof that a restaurant can evolve over time.
Haha. Thanks. Good for a morning chuckle.

For those of us who have accompanied family members through their mental decline as they aged, this is more sad - and true - than funny.
Hey...getting older is better than not.

Sadly, once your loved one's mental decline has reached a certain stage, you begin to wonder if that's really true.
Just read it out to my wife who had heard of the joke before. Me, I couldn’t recall whether or not I had heard it. I’m 76!
But it is funny. Yet not without a sense of loss. For while being fit and healthy my recall is not good. That includes spelling! And my touch typing skills have vanished. Getting old sucks!
But as much as it sucks as flip1948 put it, getting older is better than not!
