I like the latest edition better than before. Sorry you are having any issues.

I was very impressed with this program when I first purchased it late last year. Since then there have been a couple updates and it seems to me the latest version doesn't sharpen as well as the older version. Has anyone else experienced that or does anyone have any suggestions? I watched a youtube video that said you can revert back to an older version but not being tech savvy I'm afraid of losing the program altogether if I try to revert back.
I find that DeNoise does an adequate job at simple sharpening. Sharpen can do wonders with focus and motion blur. Cleans thing up; masking the subject can improve the IQ some at times.

During those times that I want to sharpen only the main subject I will mask. What does a great job in sharpening an image and making it pop is the sharp and clear template in Luminar AI.

I just recently started using Topaz Sharpen AI...it tends to over sharpen most of the time requiring a reduction in Opacity. It usually takes several times before I'm satisfied...annoying. Perhaps its because I'm new to the program.
I like how it correctly identifies my bird subjects...haven't tried it on other images so far.
Never used an earlier version so can't comment if its better or worse. I like it.
Topaz has altered my post processing making some things much easier than doing it manually.
I use Studio 2 which contains several of the most useful plugins. All images begin in Capture One.
