Yup! A friend had a bunch of them and they kept his stables absolutely free of flies. Only downside, he had to screen his tack room. They liked to crap on the saddles.

Fine shots of a very unique-looking bird
I definitely thought Guinea when I saw the body shape. We have some wild ones that hang out with the wild turkeys. I didn't realize their heads looked like that. Nice sharp shots!
Nice shot; looks like some type of crested guinea fowl.

Tiny little brain and a huge body
We're lucky it's not a politician 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Growing up on a farm in SW Minnesota we had a flock of guinea fowl. They mad great watchdogs - anytime someone drove up the driveway they would start hollering. On occasion we would butcher one and eat it, they tasted great, but were very unappetizing to look at. The skin was dark grey, and the meat was quite dark. As I recall, the legs were full of tendons like a turkey, so you had to work to get a bit of meat.
It's an African guinea that will surround a snake in its area screaming in unisance. Watched this at my Grand Dad's cage surrouning a 7 foot snake!
