Took this shot yesterday..the black background is natural, it was the shadow on the Hibiscus bush. As the bokeh, it turned out much darker than I thought it would..sets the shot off nicely though I reckon. Took it with my D500 and Sigma 150mm macro, hand held as usual...It was cropped to 16:9 ratio and I cloned a small bit of orange blossom colour out of the top left corner, also gave it a 10% sharpen...

Well done, SX2002, love it especially with the bee captured.

Nice and an old favorite of mine from years ago. Wait, it still is. Played a trumpet duet once upon a time in a church far far away.

Very beautiful shots, here are a few I took 3 days ago in the marina in which I live in Rockport, TX. I have come to appreciate the Gulf of Mexico in all its manifestations, to include those vistas other than the wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Living on the water, there is not a day I don't count my blessings. We had a lot of wind causing the waves to break a little over the sea wall and I took these shots, I am a very amateur photographer as the shots will show, but I hope you enjoy them.

Yeah, Rockport. A great place to visit when the kids were smaller.
Still is I'm sure, just haven't been there in a while.

Nice JJ, if I go dig deep enough I probably could find one of you from that morning on the Maine coast that Pat introduced us to at sunrise.
I remember Dee stayed in bed.

I had spent a little time in Dee’s sewing room last week looking for inspiration to shoot something new with my camera. This little image reminded me of what fun the grandkids had when visiting us either by themselves for a weekend or even with their parents present for the show. They created sketches and presented these little plays in our family room. They had written the scripts and parts for each to play. Then one idea struck the grandsons maybe 6 or 7 years ago. The created a script that included Grandma Dee and had her record the voice over part of “Grandma Dee”, and it was all centered around …. “Grandma Dee’s Boat Shack”….. Where that idea ever came from we still marvel at because she’s never been near a boat shack with either of the boys.

But I have to say she played a pretty good “Grandma Dee” for her boys. Oh by the way, grandson #2 is majoring in Graphic Design now.

Funny! I really like going back to those shots-I took so many and didn't work on quite a few when we got home..
