Retread...
My goal here was to focus on the tire coming apart as a euphemism for the condition of the entire truck. I first replaced the background, as the original was a chain-link fence and some industrial buildings. I then applied some adjustments in Topaz Studio re: contrast and color balancing. Then, I applied a texture from Topaz to give it a vintage and maybe timeless feeling.
Comments, insights, suggestions, etc are all welcome. And feel free to edit and repost if you come up with a cool idea! Thanks, all!
What a great subject! I like the close-up composition very much.
Some of the sky may be bleeding into the vehicle. I would mask that effect from the fender for sure
Thanks for posting, Tommy!

Thanks for posting, Tommy!
I see what you mean - I initially thought that was from the texture. I am going to rework it a bit and take your advice!
Other than the point that Linda mentioned, I think it is well done. The texture is good for the rusty vehicle.
Well done and shows an excellent vision, Tommy!
Thanks for the input, everyone! I reworked the issue with the sky and the truck fender and it is a much better finished product. I should have seen that before I posted...
Very good, I agree with Linda about the fender...
The muted colors work so well with the treatment of this image.
Very creative. Just fix the sky overlapping the truck and it is good to go. BTW I have messed up my skies making the same mistake. So welcome to the club.
You have a winner there, Tommy!
Enjoyed your vision Tommy. Bev
