yup, that's the Vatican behind this friendly looking fellow. At least the guards get to drive Alfa's to work. I guess that they have become more reliable than they used to be (the Alfa's, not the guards). Loved Italy.

Like some UK speed cops used to drive Jags.

Something tells me when the Vatican says they have security they really mean it.

In Prattville, AL, the police for quite a while drove a BMW with lettering on the trunk that read "This vehicle provided through the courtesy of one of your local drug dealers."

When I lived in Azusa, CA the cops had a customized Camaro with a full fledged blueprinted racing engine provided by one of the local pushers. When their traffic guys got bored they would take it on I-210 to chase speeders. Once the CHP complained that they were "stealing" their stops by blasting past the CHP patrol cars to snag the speeders.
