I haven't posted in a while, mostly because I've been out shooting. It's springtime and the birds and other wildlife are very active, migrating through, building nests or otherwise showing mating behavior. Thought I'd share just a few of the shots I've managed to take. Hope you enjoy them. All were taken with a Nikon D500, Nikkor 200-500 telezoom, and generally around f/6.3 and 1/2000 sec. Shot in raw, these are jpeg exports. All have been processed to some degree. In looking back, some have been over sharpened. Hope that doesn't detract too much.

Out shootting is great. You have some amazing images.
Your image Nashville Warbler at Pearblossom Park can be an image in a Fine Art Gallery. It is perfect in every way.
A wonderful set, jak! I am happy that you are getting out and I appreciate you taking the time to share your excellent work.
Hey, it's great to hear from you, Mike. I have been out about 4-5 days a week and spend most of the other days culling and processing the photos taken on photo days. I've been fully immunized and blood tests show that it's working. Hope I continue avoiding infection. How are you? Hope you're well and getting some photo ops. Take good care of yourself. jak

Thanks, Stan. Very kind of you. The Nashville Warbler show was actually a bit out of focus...hard to focus with all the leaves and branches around. I had to work on it a bit and use some Topaz Sharpen AI to sharpen it a bit. Glad you find it pleasing. In this case, with the bright white sky in the background, I think the white vignette works. I found the same for the Allen's Hummingbird photo, which was sharper to begin with but had the same bright white sky. Thanks again. Stay healthy and have a great weekend. jak
Great set. Varied and well-taken.
All are great captures but I really like the pied billed grebe with a whopper!

I have also topped up my shots and I have been going to the local birds sites. Next week we are off to Hilton Head Island for two weeks.
These are great captures. That carp looks awful big for that heron.
Thanks for the kind thumbs up. Much appreciated. Jak
