Thanks for your advice. I have no expirence in editing photos. I shoot with Canon 60D Mark. Some times I need to edit the photo and every one said I need photoshop and light room on my computer. I have been shooting for years but I really dont know how to edit, so any information you can give me will be helpful. Pat (photogal).

Here is the link for Canon's DPP software. It should have come with your camera, but if it didn't, you can download it from this link. It is Canon's free editing software, Digital Photo Professional 4 is a genuine, Canon-made application for browsing, selecting, and developing RAW images. It is equipped with various image adjustment functions in the Picture Style format and allows the user to make speedy image adjustments. If you are new to editing, start with this as it is free, then as you get better, you can think about other editing software.

The link above is the download for a Windows computer, as Canon's website detected Windows 10 on my PC and thus provided that software. If you have a Mac computer and not Windows, then go to the following link,
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/drivers-downloads
and enter your camera model in the search box, hit enter, and it will take you to the correct page, which should be for a Mac, and download the current version of DPP.

I use Nikon, so I wouldn't be much help guiding you through using Canon DPP. Go to YouTube and search for Canon DPP tutorials. There are many different ones there from Canon USA to others as well.

You don’t “need” anything. There are many people here that shoot SOOC, (straight out of camera), and are happy doing that. I personally like the Adobe subscription because Lightroom is a great organizing tool as well as a very capable editor. I like to shoot in raw and then make my own decisions how to process my images. I do 90% in LR and only use PS when it’s something I can’t do in LR. I also use some Topaz plugins. I also get a free website, (actually up to 5 I think), with the subscription which probably wouldn’t be important to you since you already have one. I agree with those that say start with the free manufacturers software. It might be all you need.

Yes, many people shoot SOOC and are happy. However, the OP asked about what software she needs and expressed a desire to "fix or enhance" her photos. So presumably since she has been shooting for many years, she now finds SOOC lacking and wants to try editing.

In my view, it's good to be in danger of learning something new.
