Beautiful subject and a great time of day. IMHO there's a lot of sky there, and it seems to take away from the impact of the mountains and the morning colors. I might suggest a crop to lower the skyline and crop in a bit from the left. I think the mountains are the focus of this image, and so maybe this would emphasize them a bit. Just a suggestion, and thanks for sharing!

Thanks. And yes sometimes we take what we get!! This was the morning after the first snow of the season and the air was cleared of all clouds. Temp was about 23 f

Thanks for the suggestion. One of the professional photographers in our local camera club made the exact same recommendation to me this morning. I’m going to try some cropping and other minor adjustments. I think you are right in that the sky is not the subject! Thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks a bunch. It’s my favorite area of the country. Last time I was there before this trip was 1976. I think I was using a Pentax spotmatic.
