Being a Nikon D7K owner I am not that familiar with Cannon is Cannon all Full frame FX or do they have Crop sensor DX versions as well ????
1D to 5D are full frame. 7D, 60D and T series are APS-C cropped sensor cameras.
Canon makes both full and cropped frame cameras. EF-S lens are for the cropped frame camera bodies only, while the EF lens will work on both.
The Canon Digital Rebel line are cropped frame as are the 50D, 60D, and the 7D. The full frame line includes 5D, 5D MK II, and the 5D MK III.
With Nikon- the DX lenses (like your D7000 can use) will work with the full-frame Nikons, but in a "cropped" mode.
Haroldross is correct about all the 5D's being full frame. Photoninja1 is partially correct about the 1D series. Some of the 1D's are a 1.3 crop and some are full frame. I believe the 1Ds series of bodies and the 1DX are full frame and the rest are 1.3 conversion factor sensors. Any of Canons bodies with a 1.6 conversion factor can use any lens that canon makes. All the pro bodies (5D's and 1D's) can only use the EF lenses including the pro 'L' series lenses.
Cannon=ordnance
