This one male finch has a tuft of feathers that stick out and it give him a permanent surprised look.
And then to get this shot I leaned a bit and stuck the end of the lens hood out the window of the pop-up blind in the yard at a range of 12-15' (too lazy to take the tape out and measure it. Some where I have a chart of the yard with all the distances on it.
Well he had just scared off a female or immature young one so he could have this feeder to himself. Then he discovered that I was in the blind near him.
