HOUSTON —Shell Reed's 1-year-old needed diapers. Her 4-, 6- and 8-year-old girls were outgrowing their clothes faster than she could replace them. And with her oldest kids — 11, 12 and 13 — taking their classes virtually from home, food expenses for the family were soaring at what seemed to be the worst possible time.

Shell had a 13 year old. No mention of a husband. Apparently she was able to pay the bills, because she decided to have another kid.

Shell had a 12 year old. No mention of a husband. Apparently she was able to pay the bills, because she decided to have another kid.

Shell had a 11 year old. No mention of a husband. Apparently she was able to pay the bills, because she decided to have another kid.

Shell had a 8 year old. No mention of a husband. Apparently she was able to pay the bills, because she decided to have another kid.

Shell had a 6 year old. No mention of a husband. Apparently she was able to pay the bills, because she decided to have another kid.

Shell had a 4 year old. No mention of a husband. Apparently she was able to pay the bills, because she decided to have another kid.

Shell had a 1 year old. No mention of a husband. She now recognizes that she is having problems putting food on the table.

The article suggests that we feel sorry for Shell for having 7 kids and bills. I don’t, do you ?

Well, it depends if she is an i*****l i*******t or not. If she is then we need to send all those kids to college and put her up in a nice hotel. If she is an American citizen, let her eat cheese and find a nice homeless shelter to camp out in.

It is a contrived story to demonstrate how irresponsible, selfish, undeserving and needy Shell has been. What was not said, but implied—-is she a woman of color or white?

You keep trying to play the race card don't you? That only demonstrates you are not playing with a full deck.

This applies to a specific cases: If a woman can't afford to put food in the table, big government will pay money for each child, if a woman has 7 children she gets more government money than a woman with 6 children. A******n would stop the money flow.

Why don't you get off your lazy ass and look for yourself? If you had an honest bone in your body you would know you just lied to cover your lazyness. It's a real story, 9volt.

'R****m, r****m' is the call of scoundrels who diminish the real import of the term because they are bankrupt in their ability to think.

But once a child is born the Republicans stop caring ... not our problem that welfare lazy person junk ... cut the food stamps and support. Nor should we educate them out of poverty.

Republican thinking is much modeled after the classic feudalism system... A good example is the Irish Potato Famine... England helped a bit at first but then decided to let the Irish Bastards Starve.

You should study history. The Irish potato famine had nothing to do with the British. A long term drought destroyed the cerial grains which the Irish depended upon for food. (The french as well. hence the French Revolution) . The Irish turned to the potato for the replacement of grain. But they grew the wrong variety of potato. It rotted in the fields hence the famine.
