Does an Executive Order really trump an Constitutional Amendment?

Mr. Biden has now seen fit to push forward the liberal/Democratic backed gun controls promised by signing an Executive Order. While I am not yet familiar with all the aspects of this order, I know that he is trying to ban magazines above 10 rounds, "Assault" style rifles, Ghost gun kits, etc. First off, they tried the 10 round magazine ban before and it was entirely ineffective, what makes anyone think it's going to do much of anything this time around? As for "Assault Rifles and Ghost Guns" there are already millions of them out there and banning the sale of them accomplishes absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. It only helps to satisfy the liberal party line and pay back those that helped to get him elected!

Anyway, is it really possible for an Executive Order to be taken seriously when it is in direct conflict with the current Constitution? I think not and fully expect this Executive order to be taken all the way to the Supreme Court before it's all over. I'd like to also note that Mr. Biden promised to uphold and protect the Constitution when he was sworn into office and I consider his attempt to circumvent it through his executive order an "Impeachable Offense." While I'd just as soon not have him impeached and put Ms. Harris in office, we need to let him know in no uncertain terms that he has seriously overstepped his authority and has failed in his promise to uphold and protect our Constitution.

From what I have heard about the E.O. there is nothing in it that would be unconstitutional. It won't accomplish anythig. Per year-rifles of any kind- k**l very few people. Maybe 300 or so. Far more are k**led by knives. The proposed limit of 10 round per magazine will be meaningless as well. The EO is really just the first step in the socialist plan to remove guns from the hands of the citizenry. Biden just appoiunted a rabid anti gun nut to be head of the ATF. But in his announcement the senile Biden kept referring to the newhead of the AFT. Just what does the American Federation of Teachers have to do with Guns anyway?

Your opinion is that it violates the Constitution, however, unless you're a Supreme Court Justice, that opinion means nothing. I have an opinion that it doesn't violate the Constitution and support that opinion by saying that you admit there were magazine restrictions before and they weren't thrown out by the court.
Impeaching him is simply nonsense. He has the authority to issue Executive Orders and there is no over-reach in this issue.

The second amendment has indeed been tested and upheld by the Supreme Court. At the time it struck down the compete ban on firearms in Washington DC. As for the 10 round magazine ban, it never went to court because all magazines made prior to the ban were still legal to sell and own. All it did was drive up the price, but it had no affect whatsoever on the availability of high capacity magazines to anyone. Not to mention that there are millions out there now that won't be confiscated, so how does banning their sale again do much of anything in preventing gun violence? In any case, I guess we will see about his authority to do this by executive order as I assure you there will be a court battle over it and yeah, I still think trying to use an executive order for this purpose is a direct attempt to circumvent Constitutional law and he should suffer severely for it!

The good thing about EO is that they can be undone, while an amendment can onlu be undone by another amendment
