In this age of ultra-sharp lenses we need people who have an eye for softness. This is the sort of shot that makes it look purposeful rather than a mistake.
I don't think I will crop any more than I have. I do like the hint of rocks below the surface in the foreground. As for "ultra sharp". That has its place. Macro images are most spectacular when they are really sharp. Also architecture looks good really sharp. In this image, I wanted the water to be smooth; but not necessarily sharp. I know it is subjective, but I like when the surface chop is reduced. Those are the considerations that led me to this type of shot. Thanks for taking a look. It is also reassuring to know that the look appears deliberate and not like a mistake.
