Well, new to me.
A Canon 70-300L from a pro on Ebay who is going to mirrorless.
And one of the Kenko 1.4x made just for Canon EOS/EF lenses-I'll try that combo soon, this is just the lens.
5DIV, Canon 70-300L @ 300, 1/500 @ f/8, ISO-800
hand held in open shade on a sunny day at about 25' from a blind in my yard.
This is a major crop then resized to 150%.
Great stuff - you must be well pleased with that lens (and the pic)

Thank you, yes I like the lens. Due to all the inactivity the past year I was finding it harder to handhold my 100-400L with or without my 1.4x III and wanted something lighter for working in my pop-up blind close to the birds. I pretty much gave up hand holding the Tamron 150-600 G2 and it now lives on a tripod with gimbal head pointed out the back door at the feeders.
Very nice, Robert. Nothing inspires us like new gear and that seems to be a winner.
