Mockingbird closeup

This is the closest I’ve ever been to a bird. This mockingbird let me approach while snapping my shutter up to this moment. I was using my 80-400mm at 400mm and learned that single point focus matters at f/5.6. Next time I hope to do better!

What is wrong with it other than the position of the head and your being being below him and the odd light and shadow? It looks very sharp and steady.
