We have some amazingly talented bird photographers here on UHH, and I always enjoy their posts. I just had to show a different type of large yellowbird leaving its nest. Taken at 0640 this morning, just 3 minutes after sunrise, at Philadelphia International Airport with an Iphone. This bird is an Airbus A320 heading out to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Each morning as we prep our aircraft for fleet launch, we work in the shadows under artificial light - sodium vapor lamps. It is always a pleasure to pause for a few seconds to watch a sunrise.
That's some big bird. You know Big Bird is yellow too. Maybe some connection!
Carol,
When we changed our branding and adopted the bright yellow color scheme of our livery, we also started calling them Big Bird, so you may be right.
Boy, that must lay some big eggs.
