As promised, here's an Isle of Wight red squirrel.
I used a Sony Cyber-shot DSC WX7.
Setting: Handheld twilight (f/6.3, esp 1/15 sec, ISO 3200)
Red Squirrel
He sure is a cute little thing.
For me it is to dark of an exposure. When I take images of Squirrels I use a tripod so I can use a slow shutter speed or what ever to get a good exposure, imho.

Thanks for the valuable comment. I could try that as my camera has a 'twilight with tripod' mode. The trouble is getting it to the secret location where the squirrels hang out! We had to ford a stream and balance on logs - not so easy with a tripod, but one of the perils of wildlife photography. I could lighten it up a bit in PP, but this is exactly how it came from camera to pc.
