Blue Heron with fish

No idea how this heron caught this fish. The heron wasn’t too sure about it either, took it to the shore to gobble it down whole.

Nice shot. He speared it. It is common for them to take speared fish of that size to shore as bnot to take the chance of loosing the meal.

Thanks for the reply’s. I knew it had to be speared but didn’t know they did that on a regular basis. All I had seen before was holding them between their beaks or whatever you would call them.
