A few more trying to convey the stillness of Venice at night, and a hint of the passion for "people watching" with an expresso

Last one before I am asked to leave, this is

The Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale), just off St Marks Square

dargo,

I like all of these!

A comment for one. The table shot....
I would have ordered a pastry and shot with the dishes & glasses/cups full. Giving me the feeling of wanting to be there (making it inviting). Also, I think the whole table should be "in focus".
Composition wise, It may still, need more....

Again, you got some nice ones!!!

Just my thoughts...
Something to think about.

I'm envious of your tools (camera)!
I have a crop sensor camera.
Pat

Hi Pat thank you for that, and I accept your points.

Delighted that you didn't pull me up for the lens cap on the table though!! lol

As regards the camera, yes the 5d is good, but I still use a 7d a lot, in fact used it for the "red arrows" topic I posted earlier today, and would not have got though shots with the 5d easily and not without spending a fair bit of money which I dont have)

Not being awkward, but that image is not of the Doges Palace (Palazzo Ducale). The Doges Palace is opposite the building photographed.

I was lucky enough to be there in August - beautiful city.

You are quite right I was thinking St Marks Square was down the passage on the left, it is of course straight ahead.

Wow! Love the peeping blade shot the best. What were your settings for that one? I can never seem to get my exposure right with these types of shots, even with spot metering. Keep posting...they're lovely.
