Biltmore Winery

This is a view of the "wine tasting bar" at the Biltmore Winery at Antler Hill. Growing grapes and making wine have long been part of the Biltmore Mansion culture. The wine room is deep with rich wood. The ceiling is full of floating glass "grape" globes. Natural light softly illuminates the features and it is complimented by the soft glow of hanging lamps and accent lighting.

Unfortunately, I'm more of a craft beer fellow that wine although the Better Half and our friends enjoyed sampling them all while I walked about with the camera in hand.

Gary, you surprise me with your posts. I like this one, probably because of the wine bottles

Do they bottle a "sparkling wine?" Looks like a lot of bubbles. Cool shot.

Nice work on this one. Never been there & wouldn't of thought it has it's own winery.

Wow! Gorgeous shot. The warm colors are so inviting and it is a very unusual sight!

Thanks, UTMike. Our friends have an RV also and we take a few trips each year. This was part of our south east roam about. I'm visiting the memories from those times and I thought that I would share some of them with the folks here.

Thanks, My pallet is not refined enough to appreciate the complex flavors and aromas of wine. I do enjoy an IPA craft beer with a meal when we dine out though.

Thanks, and I agree that the 'bubbles' were quite fitting among the hanging glass grapes. I suspect that they had some sparkling ones with the large variety wines.

Thanks, the play of light with the warm wood tones and the reflections in the glass hanging grapes and bubbles caught my eye. Others there were interested in tasting the different wines while I was free to roam with my camera.
