Clear sky, good day for Pioneer Cemetery and woodland lane down to Lewis River hike and shoot. However, I had appliance repair duty at 8, so only enough time for quick visit to nearby Salmon Creek nature trail. Left house at 6:30. Doe on trail at 6:40. Oops, left memory card in computer at home. Always have spare. By time loaded doe was on hillock. And, then, morning just unfolded; Mother Nature fast tracked for me.
6:41 Doe - 15 shots
6:43 Yearling - 15 shots (I did get several of her on the path)
6:46 Pileated - 17 shots
6:49 Wood Duck - 11 shots (crossing the "road"/paved trail)
6:50 Eagles - 8 shots (cruising over, one with wing feathers missing)
6:51 Wood Ducks - 32 shots [more to follow]
6:54 Flicker - 8 shots (pretty much same pics/setting as ones shared the other day)
6:56 Horse Tail - 4 shots
6:59 Downy - 13 shots
7:07 Red Tail - 7 shots (2 birds went rocketing into the woods; turns out one red tail chasing another)
7:31 Flicker - 86 shots (Flicker preening in sun touched tree top--chasing flicker orange pics in following post)
7:40 headed home -- what a show! my head (and camera dials) were spinning
Nice images. Thanks for sharing.
