As promised, Mourning Doves! Cool evening-about 43 F, light cold North wind, bright overcast 5:45 PM PDT.
Very shy birds, at least these two are shy. They edge closer and closer and closer still to the feed area. They then dive down to look for the cracked corn and nuts and chicken feed left on the ground. They are rarely very far from each other. They flush at the slightest movement.
Working on BIF shots but the light is not so good.
Somehow that Northern Flicker image, the bird was hanging around the doves, found its way here.
D850, 500pF, 1/500 to 1/1000, f 5.6, ISO from 1100 to 8000! No EC or filters used.

The dove shots are lovely and so is the topic bombing Flicker. I think doves are under appreciated.
