Great shots of Zermatt and the mountains. We took the train up also. It is a great place; no cars allowed--just golf carts to get you to and from the train station. Couldn't get a picture of the Matterhorn--too cloudy. We did the castle tour in Switzerland and stayed in Bergamo, Italy.

Thanks so much Dick. Sorry you missed the views of the Matterhorn. I will post several more since we were fortunate to have partly cloudy skies. We missed the castle tour.

As we ascended higher on the cogwheel railroad from Zermatt, we were greeted by more spectacular Alpine landscapes. Fortunately the weather was good and the ever present cloud formations were beautiful and did not obstruct the views of the majestic peaks. All of these were taken from the open train window with a Nikon D7200 and an 18-300 Nikkor lens For a narrative and additional images, please see my previous post : https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-691712-1.html
I hope you enjoy these. Please try the downloads.

Doc. I do the biggest pet supply show in Europe in Nuremberg every 2 years. My sales rep was a Swede who spoke 8 languages and drank in 10. I learned the social customs and how to travel in Europe. I can say thank you in a dozen languages. It is a great place to visit and I take 1-2 weeks of vacation over there with my wife after the show. I rent a car and have a GPS with the European coordinates. Almost every one in Europe is friendly and helpful. It sounds like you know how to travel well over there too.

Thanks very much for your comments Dick but I leave the travel planning to the professionals. The Switzerland trip was with Tauck (Switzerland: Europe's Crown Jewel - https://www.tauck.com/destinations/europe-tours/switzerland-tours#itineraries). We have taken 7 other trips with them and loved them all as well as the trips being the main source of my photo library.
