It seems these two hawks have decided to settle down in the woods behind our house by building two nests, one bigger than the other. So I assume they've decided the bigger one was in a better location.

Nice set of captures. A pair of RSHs are building a "three nest test project" in our neighborhood also.

Wow. Very cool. From what I understand it's not uncommon for them to build several nests before settling on one.

Very nice set! If you were in California I would suggest that they are getting set to "flip" one of the nests (LOL).
