Portrait of a Cooper's Hawk

This is one of the nesting pair in my back yard. I took about 500 shot's yesterday of the pair this one was within 25' perched in a pine and shot with Canon R5 and the RF 800mm f11 prime. I was almost too close to get he shot.

Thats a fine image. If you don't mind my asking, why did you crop out the rest of the bird? Still, a very fine image.

Don't mind at all. In the description the hawk was only about 25' from me and I had an 800mm prime lens. I was almost too close for that lens to focus so I count my blessings for even being able to get this image. No crop here.
