No I don’t edit on my camera so I’m just transferring the files. I downloaded the new Nikon software from the website and now Nikon will import the files time correctly but for some reason Cascable is not. So I will start using the new Nikon software to import my photos because I really don’t want to buy a XQD card reader.
Thanks for everyone’s help.

When you transfer, you copy. The ORIGINAL FILE CREATION DATE is not copied, but a new creation date is entered for the file when the file is copied.

Image date (date image taken) does not always equal the file creation date, it ONLY does for the original file.

Just for kicks and giggles, compare those dates on different systems (devices) to see if any look familiar or similar.

I have the time and date are all the same iPhone iPad camera even my older 2008 iMac. The only one showing the incorrect time is my 2015 iMac, it off by 5 hours. But I imported the same photos from the same camera using the new Nikon software and now they all match. But if I use the app called Cascable on my 2015 iMac the time is wrong. But if I use my 2008 iMac with Cascable app the time is correct. It has to be a setting in Cascable to correct the problem but I can’t find it.

At least you figured a way to circumvent the anomaly.
Sure would be nice to understand the cause though.

Did you shoot in a different time zone?

spot on! If you double click the image it will open in Preview by default. Open Inspector from the Tools Menu. The more info window that appears will contain the date of the original in the Exif tab. Hope this helps.

When I copy an image from my Nikon D850 to my iMac, and look at the image in Adobe Bridge, I find three dates: date created, date file created, & date file modified. Only the first refers to the date the picture was taken.

Interesting. In Windows I have a header title of Date Taken. That is probably your created date as you also have "date file created", which would be my Created Date. Different software, different nomenclature.
Date taken never changes; created date changes if it is a new copy of the file; modified date is when I edit (change) the contents. Therefor for the original file Date Taken=Date Created=Date Modified. After I copy them to a PC, the Created Date changes on the PC copy. Once copied to another location, the original has the Date Created=Date Modified.
